2011!!!!... only one more year 'til we all die...Just Kidding!

Keeping with the spirit of the movie: "2012"... I thought it would be interesting to compile a list of stuff to do before the end of Life as we know it... So basically, what happens "2012" is some sort of strange apocalypse. (That's if I can remember correctly... since we went to go see it at the Drive-in and there was just waayyy too much noise pollution in the surrounding area and someone in the car next to us wanted to try out their new sound system, plus, with the increase in global warming and smog these days...it was kinda hard to see what was going on, on the giant screen infront of us). So John Cusack has to try get his remaining family onto a big spaceship or something, because there's not enough room for everyone on earth to come along for the ride...So it was a race against time to book some seats on the mothership before Earth was completely INCINERATED!
The Mayan stone thingy which is said to "reveal the truth" about all the crazy stuff that's meant to go down. I think it would make a really nice necklace though, don't you?
So, with that lil bit of background knowledge, here's the task... What would YOU do if you were Sure that you would only have ONE YEAR left on Mother Earth? Well, since not that many people have commented on my previous posts...that question would turn out to be rhetorical...So because of that...I'll tell You what I would be most likely found doing in this up coming year. And let me tell you... it does NOT involve any of the following arrangement of letters: S.C.H.O.O.L  !!

First on my list would be to go and pitch a tent in our local shopping mall and camp there for the evening. I think it would be most convenient to do it on the roof, for ventilation reasons...and it makes the travel for security guards That much longer. And, in that way...I would be able to get a perfect view of the stars (and satellites) (hoping that the Smog we talked about earlier wont be interfering!). And whilst there, I might find myself a tad hungry... so why not hop on over to the Ventures For Africa store (before it closes) sneak in, grab some braaing equipment, then, make my way to Kuai and grab an Organic chicken breast (with all the low fat trimmings) and slap that sucker on the BBQ! All we need now is to wash it down with a Double thick choc-straw-bubble-vanillagum milkshake and we got ourselves a party! Oh ya, when organising a shindig of this calibre, I'd find it to work best if your tent in made of roof-materialised camouflage and you send out invitations to your friends very timeously, for RSVP purposes.

Next on my To-do List of 2011...only-one-more-year-til-we're-all-mince-meat-unless-you-get-a-seat-on-the-spaceship-which-is-more-difficlut-to-get-tickets-for-than-the-U2-360-degree-tour is........You'll have to find out next time!... I like to keep my followers sitting on the edge of their Rolly-chair (or bed, or dining table chair, or couch, lazyboy, toilet, windowsill, staircase step, or unless you sit on the floor, you're pretty much sorted) So for those reasons...TUNE IN NEXT TIME to see what'll be the second activity to grace my scarily ingenuitive mind with its oh-so-attractive (and daring) qualities!

I Have Another Quote!! A quote to inspire, and quote to educate!, quote to make you Perspire and let your Weight Fluctuate! (so you might not want to read it then!) but here goes...! (It's on the subject of Creativity; one of man's most valuable assets!!) ...

"To Live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong." - Joseph Chilton Pearce.

And another one which I L.o.v.e.d....: "The most potent muse of all, is our inner child." - Stephen Nachmanovitch

First Top 10 of the Blog

Top 10 of the Songs that I listen to when trying to Overcome Insomnia...

Note: It's nothin' personal against the following songs...that they're boring.. or that the lyrics put me to sleep... It's the fact that they're just downright calming, soothin, mellow, chilled and created for easy listenin'... So gimme a shout out as to what you think of my Pre-slumber Playlist...

10.Teenage Dream - Katy Perry
9. Blowin in the Wind - Bob Dylan
8. Your Love - Nicki Minaj
7. Stay Together For The Kids - Blink 182
6. Dream On - Aerosmith
5. The Way You Do The Things You Do - UB40
4. I Don't Love You - My Chemical Romance
3. Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
2. Dog Days Are Over - Florence And The Machine
1. Sweet Dispostion - The Temper Trap

These songs were basically chosen based on availability (due to the fact that the "Music archives" on my cellular device are quite limited) and also because I've made strong associations with these specific songs.. So what I'm trying to get at is.. Whenever I listen to these songs... It takes me to my Happy Place! And before I know it... I'm off to a couple of grassy fields with music by Bread playing in the background... and Me and my boyfriend running towards eachother in slow motion... while I flick my hair graciously and Bay Watch-like through the wind. And we both lived Happily ever after.

So, since this post is working in collaboration with the current Economic Recession; based on the fact that it too is rather Budget-like without no bells n whistles... All I ask of you this time round.. is too give my playlist a listen.. and if it puts you to sleep... WELL, then I suppose it's served its purpose! ;)

And Last, But Certainly not least... My Quote o' the Day..: "Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love."- Mother Theresa. ... Now there's some quote for thought..!

The Clothing Brand that Exemplifies COOL BEANS

There is Something magical about the Beach...and Beachwear too for that matter. The two obviously seem to go Hand-in-hand and therefore, have a lot in common...Both AWESOME and Both get me tremendously ~*Excited*~.So, whether you're at the sea temporarily i.e-on Holiday- or whether you've decided to shift your roots Permanently to a larger water source, namely ...!The Ocean!...It always seems to create an electric stirrrr when there's talk about the beach..Well, in my Household atleast. And, what better way to prepare for the beach than by going SHOPPING>!>!!!??... In my book, there'll always be an occasion to shop...and one can never have too many of... Well, anything! As time progresses, I will go more in-depth about all the other trends which I like to follow.. Although, I like to set them too, if I May so-boldly Say :) Here's a look at what I am Extreeeemely fond of, what you may find in my Personal Wardrobe and what I regard as timeless "Cool" and wearable to basically Any occasion/ venue.. Except for the 2nd picture.. you might wanna consider including some trousers in there... Just sayin'.
Surfer meets Hippie..Ooh! I think I just died and went to heaven!

Mixing the Green Environmental movement with beach wear..Mmm Yess!

Probably my favourite outfit. Plus, the car aint too shabby either ;)

A bit of the Roxy and Beach Lifestyle...
Thank you for choosing Sublime 1969...We hope you have enjoyed your visit, please call again soon. Remember to Buckle Up and Drive Safely!

Oh yes, and this time I've actually remembered to add a quote...:

"Remember when the crowd was sreaming my name.. and I used my strength to rip my blouse.."- From one of my FAVOURITE movies... Nacho Libre!! Not really that relevant.. But hey!

Eliza Doolittle's latest album, cleverly entitled: "Eliza Doolittle"... (Didn't see that one comin')
To Describe Eliza Doolittle in 3 Syllables would Probably be... WOW WOW WOW. What an amazing talent. Firstly, this girl is a fresh, inspiring decoration on the mantlepiece of the music industry. Her sound makes you want to run around in the living room in your underpants...and sing (and whistle) along to tunes like Skinny Genes and Pack Up. From the moment she popped up on the tv one afternoon, to the moment I cranked up the radio...I felt in my bones that.. If I could choose Any singing voice out of an Inventory containing the most Awesomest-Ama-zing-zingest-Kick-bum-tasticulous voices from all across the ages, I would Undoubtedly choose Eliza's. Not to mention, she's got legs for days and gorgeous long, brown locks of Awesome. The way she sports those Nike Sneakers while singing in that mellow, sometimes quirky, sweetheart voice, you want to rush on over to the computer and slap "Eliza Doolittle" into the Search Bar. This Perdy lady has audiences all over London captivated and has got feet tappin' uncontrollably. What's her secret?! Where does she muster up all the magic? I guess we'll have to buy her album to find out ;)
Slighty retro, 80's style, which she has turned on its head and made her own. It's a type of style I affectionately like to call ComFlirtCool.. The name is kinda self-explanatory... She looks comfy..But not in a slouched sweatpants and messy hair kinda way.. A lil on the flirty side, rocking those washed out denim 80's-esque shorts and Cool.. well, you can tell why:) It's pretty nice to see that eventhough she lives in Merry ol' England, she has a pretty decent tan, which you can't really say the same for, for many of her fellow English citizens...unless they've resorted to the various "artificial options" or.. rather, a Holiday in Spain!.. I know which one I'd prefer... Hope she makes her way to Jo'burg in the near future... I've already started a Piggy-bank dedicated to getting Golden-Circle tickets.. Although, I dont' think they have Golden circle areas in jazz clubs... :?

Aloha..!

Well, Howdie Doo! Gosh Darnit, it's my first EVER Blog!.. Not sure what's meant to be happening here.. But a couple of things are for sure.. You're still gonna need to take a shower some time later today and you still have to pay tax once you hit your Forties. Other than that.. I'm here to inform you that my blog will one day RULE THE WORLD!.. Or atleast.. Communist Russia (no offence to any Russians.. Not that I think my blog'll reach that far..or popular). Anywhoo.. This blog was basically created to share my lifestyle with the digital public.. So it'll contain my favourite music.. choices and topics, some politics (very "lite" stuff since I aint really a fanatic, but Hey, it's still important to know what's going on in the outside world) FASHION.. news, ideas, newest creations avec my handiwork, and trends which I will dissect and debate... with a little help from my friends.. And Hopefully!, if don't forget or get side-tracked towards the end of each new post, I'll add a valuable life lesson/ quote from someone either Verrrrry inspirin', or completely idiotic.. depending on how my medication is influencing my mood on the day... Enjoy!
